Edgar Torres: My Immigration Story

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Paso Robles City Library
Conference Room

Event Details

Paso Robles City Library is pleased to present the area’s first Mexican-American winemaker, Edgar Torres, who will be sharing his immigration story. Torres came across the border when he was only eight years old, following his parents who had made the journey earlier.

The family made their home in the north county, and Edgar waited tables at local restaurants to put himself through college. From there he went on to learn winemaking, eventually opening his own winery, Bodega de Edgar.

The public is invited to attend this free event, which is made possible through a partnership with the California Center for the Book, and is part of the library’s Californians: Community Conversations About Immigration series.
